Empowering Families to Thrive with Expert Guidance and Compassionate Care.

My path to becoming a pediatrician and parenting coach has been shaped by both a deep commitment to children's health and the personal experiences of raising a family. I attended Johns Hopkins University and Drexel University College of Medicine, followed by a residency in pediatrics at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital at Case Western Reserve University. Over the past 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of clinical settings—from private practice to academic medicine—caring for countless children and collaborating closely with families. I served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and, more recently, as an Affiliate Clinical Instructor at Stanford University School of Medicine, earning teaching awards at both institutions.

Teaching and mentoring the next generation of pediatricians has been a significant and fulfilling part of my career. This work has honed my ability to communicate complex medical concepts in a way that is both understandable and actionable for parents.

In addition to my clinical and teaching roles, I co-authored the award-winning book Nourish: The Definitive Plant-Based Nutrition Guide for Families and contributed a chapter on vegetarian nutrition for children in the American Academy of Pediatrics’ textbook on pediatric nutrition. I currently serve as the co-director of the Learning Center at Plant-Based Juniors and am an instructor for the BeWell Program at Stanford University.

On a more personal note, I live in the Bay Area with my husband, and our two adult(ish) children are not too far away. I love traveling, cooking, and having a long lunch with a good friend. I wear my heart on my sleeve and am most definitely an extrovert (though I treasure my alone time, too!). My bedside table is always overflowing with more books than I can manage. Most Sundays, you can find me at our local farmers market, where I find inspiration for our weekly meals.
